ABOUT MARK
Mark J. Stewart is a lawyer based in Newmarket, Ontario.
Graduating with a bachelor of laws from City, University of London UK, he also holds a master of arts from the University of Ottawa and a bachelor of arts from the University of Guelph. Mark also did an exchange year to the University of Aberdeen, UK. He is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario.
Mark is also a part-time professor at Seneca College where he currently teaches in the School of Business.
In his litigation practice, Mark has acted for clients before the Ontario Superior Court, including both the Small Claims and Divisional Courts, and the Ontario Court of Justice.
Before becoming a lawyer, Mark was a Communications Officer and speechwriter at a "Big Five" Canadian bank and a Legislative Assistant to two members of the Canadian parliament, one of whom was the federal Minister of Finance. He has also worked as an English and business language instructor in Tokyo, Japan.
Mark currently sits on the Board of Directors of Newmakeit, an industrial arts, training and creative facility that services York Region and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO), the Crown agency responsible for educational accountability in the Province of Ontario.
A twenty-seven year cancer survivor, Mark is passionate about cancer activism and sits on the Board of Directors of the Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada. He has also spoken about cancer-related topics on CTV’s Your Morning, CTV News Channel and CP24 in Toronto and to numerous private and corporate groups.
In his spare time he enjoys painting and drawing, reading, personal fitness and, with his amazing wife, watching the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Aaron Jardine is a legal assistant at the Mark J. Stewart Professional Corporation.
Having a varied career, she is a licensed paralegal and Commissioner for Taking Oaths and Affidavits in the Province of British Columbia and has worked in the legal field since 2012.
She attended Sprott Shaw College where she obtained her Legal Administration Assistant with honors and her completed her paralegal studies with Capilano University. Prior to changing career paths, Aaron was a financial advisor with Edward Jones, MD Management and Sunlife and was both IIROC-licensed and a Life Licensed (LLQP).
Aaron’s family is also heavily involved with aviation, after having owned a flight school in Springbank, Alberta.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her kids, both of whom are in university and her Boston Terrier dogs.
